I had the opportunity of arranging music for Orchestra FLEX of the Longy School of Music, and one of the pieces was Alfonsina y el Mar. The original performance of this song is a very intimate affair, so I wanted to do something similar. I arranged it for a small ensemble of Orchestra FLEX, with opportunities to solo for each of the performers, as well as varying choices of instrumentation for each of the verses to add variety. Enjoy!
